A 7-episode live series on neurodivergence, perimenopause, and navigating both at once.
Neurodivergence and Perimenopause:
Tossing in the Towel
Nobody warned us it would feel like this. If you're navigating neurodivergence and perimenopause at the same time — the overwhelm, the body changes, the spiraling, the feeling that your system is working against you — this series is for you. Every Thursday for seven weeks, Heather Zimmerman and Courtney Buckley bring the science, the energy work, and the lived experience to the table. Real talk. Real tools. No fluff.

THE JOURNEY
Neurodivergence and perimenopause are two of the most complex, under researched, and misunderstood experiences a person can have. When they happen at the same time — and they often do — the effects on the nervous system, hormones, mental health, and sense of identity can feel overwhelming, isolating, and frankly, like nobody prepared you for any of it.
Because they didn't.
That's why we're having this conversation.
Over seven live episodes, Heather Zimmerman (Master Certified Life Coach, shamanic energy healer, and behavioral psychology background) and Courtney Buckley (nervous system specialist, energy worker, and lived experience advocate) will bring together the science, the energetics, and the real-life tools that have actually helped. We're not here to tell you what to do. We're here to help you understand your own system — and give you something useful to work with.
Each episode is 60–90 minutes, live on Zoom, with replay access on YouTube. Register for the episodes that speak to you or join us for the whole journey.

EPISODE GUIDE
Episode 1 — The Nervous System & Hormones: Why It Hits Different
Thursday, April 9 | 7:00 PM EST
The foundation episode. We're starting with the why — why the combination of neurodivergence and perimenopause creates such an intense physiological experience. We'll cover how hormones and the nervous system interact, why ND nervous systems respond differently to hormonal flux, and what's actually happening in your body when everything feels like too much.
Episode 2 — Calming the Mind Without Meditation
Thursday, April 16 | 7:00 PM EST
Meditation isn't always accessible — especially for neurodivergent brains that struggle with silence or visualization. This episode covers nervous system regulation tools that actually work: body scans, breathwork, observing thoughts without chasing them, noticing patterns and body tension. We'll also discuss aphantasia (the experience of not being able to visualize), and introduce Heather's still water and butterfly practice for interrupting the constant influx of incoming thoughts.
Episode 3 — Spiraling Out: What's Actually Happening & How to Stop It
Thursday, April 23 | 7:00 PM EST
Spiraling isn't just in your head — it's a full body experience. This episode covers the neuroscience of anxiety spirals, the role of the vagus nerve and how to reset it, and why the prefrontal cortex and amygdala are so involved. We'll talk about why mindfulness is one of the most powerful interrupts available and give you practical tools to work with your nervous system instead of against it.
Episode 4 — It Runs in the Family: The Hereditary & Ancestral Layer
Thursday, April 30 | 7:00 PM EST
Some of what you're carrying isn't just yours. This episode explores the genetics and epigenetics of neurodivergence, the nature/nurture conversation, repeated family patterns, and the energetic and ancestral layer that behavioral science alone doesn't fully address. We'll talk about generational curse-breaking — what it actually means, what it takes, and how it changes the pattern for everyone who comes after you.
Episode 5 — The Gut, The Brain & The Body That Knows
Thursday, May 7 | 7:00 PM EST
The gut is the body's second brain — and the connection between gut health, hormones, and the nervous system is more significant than most people realize. We'll cover the gut-brain axis, how perimenopause affects masking in neurodivergent people (often removing it without warning), the relationship between authenticity and hormonal shifts, and the connections between the body's physical systems and the chakra system. Your body has always been trying to tell you something.
Episode 6 — Autism, Epilepsy & Misdiagnoses
Thursday, May 14 | 7:00 PM EST
Western medicine has a habit of treating surface symptoms without looking at root causes. This episode examines the connection between autism and epilepsy, how seizures affect the brain and correlate to neurodivergence, and why misdiagnosis — particularly in women — is so common. Courtney shares her own experience of being misdiagnosed as a young person. We'll talk about what gets missed, why, and what it means for treatment.
Episode 7 — Undiagnosed, Dismissed & Done: The Women's Healthcare Problem
Thursday, May 21 | 7:00 PM EST
The final episode and the one we've been building toward. We're talking about what it means to be a woman seeking diagnosis, the epidemic of gaslighting in healthcare settings, being told you're "just anxious" or "too sensitive" or "fine" when you know you're not. The complexity of female physiology, the history of women's health being undertreated and understudied, and what it means to finally be believed — by a doctor, by a community, and by yourself.
